Long-term Territorian Trevor Cox has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer at the Y Northern Territory, bringing with him a wealth of experience across government and the tourism and hospitality industry.
Prior to joining the Y, Trevor was Acting CEO and Head of Strategy and Acquisition for NT Major Events and currently serves as the Board President of the Automobile Association of the Northern Territory (AANT).
Previous positions include General Manager of Tourism Top End, Managing Director of Glen Helen Resort in Central Australia, and Chief of Staff in the Office of former Deputy Chief Minister.
“The Y has been delivering grassroots community programs across the Territory for over 50 years, and the opportunity to shape the future direction and remain connected to the Territory community is what I’m looking forward to the most,” Trevor said.
“The Y operates a diverse business model, impacting hundreds of Territory families, with a strong focus on caring for and supporting young people. I’m looking forward to working with all our stakeholders to deliver on Y Northern Territory purpose,” Trevor said.
President of the Y Northern Territory Ashley Perez thanked the staff team on behalf of the Board.
“I would like to sincerely thank Andrew Mundy and Jason Chin who have acted as CEO over the past months while recruitment was undertaken. Their commitment to the Y and support of the staff and volunteer team is greatly appreciated by the Board,” he said.
