What we do
Youth and Community
At the Y, we believe in the power of inspired young people.
We know that all young people have the power to make a lasting, positive impact on society, and we’re committed to walking alongside them.
Through our work with young people, we create safe spaces for young people to be themselves. We facilitate safe spaces and drop-in centres, mentoring and targeted support, youth empowerment activities and alternative education programs.
We deliver a range of youth and community services across the Territory.
Our Youth services include:
- the Y UpTop Palmerston Youth Space (Goyder Square)
- Palmerston Youth Centre (Moulden)
- Katherine Youth Space (at Henry Scott Recreation Centre)
- the Northern Territory Youth Parliament.
Our Youth and Community services also include the Y’s Remote Pools Project.
YOUTH PARLIAMENT
The Northern Territory Youth Parliament is a non-partisan advocacy and leadership program run by young people, for young people.
