Who we are

To realise our vision of a better world, with and for young people, we commit our energy, courage and creativity to achieving tangible progress across our four Pillars of Impact – Community Wellbeing, Meaningful Work, a Sustainable Planet, and a Just World.

Together, we drive systemic change to create a better world. We draw from our collective expertise, our deep community partnerships, and our local, national and global influence.

For the first time in the Y’s long history, in the face of the world’s most pressing challenges, the Y stands as one global movement, across 120 member countries and 12,000 communities, with one global strategy – Vision 2030.

Our four impact pillars drive the work we do each and every day.

  • Community Wellbeing – Building healthy, connected communities, where children and young people thrive.
  • Meaningful Work – Empowering young people to navigate and thrive in the dynamic world of work.
  • A Sustainable Planet – Adapting, protecting and renewing for a sustainable planet.
  • A Just World – Amplifying the diverse voices of children and young people to shape a just world.

We are excited and proud to share our 2024 Community Impact Report below.

Thank you to everyone who has connected with the Y this year for their ongoing support and commitment to children, young people, and communities in the Northern Territory.
